Hawaii State Capitol Rotunda

–      9:15AM Meet in the Hawaii State Capitol Rotunda (Beretania Street near Damien Statue). Adults will need a picture I.D.

o  Pledge, National Anthem, Hawaii Pono I, short briefing and prayer. Distribute CHOH letter and brochure for families to give to legislators.

–      9:45AM Visit your legislators

–      10:30AM Meet Representative Matayoshi for a short introduction to the Capitol and Legislature plus Q & A (outside of the House Chamber, street level);

–    10:45 AM Visit Legislators

–      11:20AM Reconvene at Senate Chamber to be introduced by Senator Keohokalole as guests during their daily Session.

–      11:30AM Senate session starts

–      11:45AM leave Senate session and enter House of Representatives Chamber to be introduced

–      12:00 House Session starts

Introductions are short, but you are welcome to stay and watch the process of either Chamber. Families may leave at any time.

What to do:

–      Save the date on your calendar – Tuesday, February 3, 2026

–      See capitol.hawaii.gov to learn the names of your state senator and representative and their office numbers. If you click on the legislator’s name, you will see his/her picture.

o  Remember their faces and keep them in prayer.

o  Contact your legislator and let them know that you will be visiting their office on February 3.

–      Register with CHOH by emailing capitolday@christianhomeschoolersofhawaii.org by January 30

o  Provide the name of your senator and representative.

o  Include your name and the number of family members who will be attending.

–      Pray for the Lord to be honored at Hawaii Homeschool Capitol Day.

–      You are the face of homeschooling, please dress properly:

o  Males – collared shirts, long pants, covered shoes

o  Females – dress or long skirts or pants, sandals or covered shoes

–      Metered parking in the basement of the Capitol, behind Iolani Palace and on the streets.
