Standardized Achievement Tests

Standardized Achievement Tests

According to section §8-12-18, parents are required to submit scores from a nationally normed standardized achievement test for grades 3, 5, 8, and 10.  Test scores can also be submitted to meet the annual report requirement for non-test grade years.  Per parent report, the Department of Education has accepted the tests listed below.

A nationally normed standardized achievement test, the SAT tests word study skills, reading skills/comprehension, vocabulary, mathematics, language, spelling, social studies, science, and listening (depending on grade level). The Stanford 10 is untimed.
